Scientists discovered a new species of goblin spider on a remote island off of Japan, according to a new issue of the international science journal Zootaxa.

Although goblin spiders are common, with an estimated 2,500 species around the world, the newly discovered spider has six eyes and doesn’t spin webs, according to reports.
Additionally, it’s tiny. Scientists say males measure in around .05 spiders and females around 0.6 inches. And while they’re believed to be native to Japan, scientists think they might exist in neighboring areas, such as Taiwan.
Even though goblin spiders live around the world, scientists say they still know very little about them due to their size.
